Who we are
Korean Ladder is a Korean language learning website and YouTube channel operated by Signal50. The site provides free video lessons, study paths, lesson pages, pronunciation practice, quizzes, and printable study notes.
Information we collect from website visitors
You can browse Korean Ladder without creating an account. The website may process basic technical information that browsers and hosting providers normally provide, such as IP address, browser type, device type, requested pages, referring pages, and timestamps. We use this information to operate, secure, debug, and improve the website.
If you contact us by email, we receive the information you choose to send, such as your email address, name, and message content.
YouTube embeds and Google services
Korean Ladder lesson pages may embed YouTube videos or link to YouTube. When you watch or interact with YouTube content, YouTube and Google may collect information according to their own policies. Please review the Google Privacy Policy at https://policies.google.com/privacy.
How we use YouTube API Services
Signal50 uses YouTube API Services for an internal owner-operated publishing workflow for Korean Ladder. The workflow is used to upload our own videos, update video metadata, set thumbnails, organize playlists, and verify publication state for Korean Ladder content.
Our YouTube API client is not a public user dashboard and does not let third-party users upload to their own channels through Korean Ladder. OAuth access is used only by authorized operators for channels we own or manage.
YouTube API data we may access
Depending on the publishing task, our internal tools may access YouTube channel, playlist, and video data needed to manage our owned content, including video IDs, titles, descriptions, thumbnails, playlist membership, upload status, privacy status, and channel identifiers.
We do not sell YouTube API data. We do not use YouTube API data for advertising targeting. We do not transfer YouTube API data to unrelated third parties except as necessary to operate our own publishing workflow, comply with law, protect security, or use service providers acting on our behalf under appropriate confidentiality and security obligations.
Storage and retention
Operational YouTube metadata may be stored in local databases, server logs, deployment records, and production manifests so that we can avoid duplicate uploads, maintain playlists, repair website links, and audit publication history. We keep this information only as long as needed for those operational purposes, legal obligations, security, and troubleshooting.
OAuth tokens and credentials are stored in restricted operator environments and are not displayed to public website visitors.
Your choices and revocation
If you granted Google or YouTube access to an application, you can revoke that access from your Google Account security settings at https://myaccount.google.com/permissions.
You may also contact us to ask about privacy, deletion, or access requests related to Korean Ladder.
Children
Korean Ladder is an educational site for general audiences and is not designed to collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will review and delete it when appropriate.
Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect operational data. No internet service can guarantee perfect security, but we limit access to publishing systems and credentials to authorized operators.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our website, channels, or publishing workflow changes. The effective date above shows when this version took effect.
